My Journey To RankIQ

Well, I own a lifetime license for Ubersuggest. For those who do not know what Ubersuggest is. It is one of the most popular keyword research tools that you can use in your keyword research process.

Even though this is a great tool, I was still searching for a tool to help me optimize posts. Not writing it with AI. Thankfully I found RankIQ.

While we are talking about AI. I’ve always loved AI, but I do not like the idea of using AI to churn out entire blog posts for me. That’s not my style. To craft the perfect post you need content right? But, before RankIQ, I used to first look for hours for a keyword in Ubersuggest that I believed was a viable keyword. Not always 100% sure it is the right one. Then, I would go to AI, to create an outline, and after that start fleshing out the content. After hours of writing, I will take it to Grammarly to fix all my mistakes, only then will I then publish my new posts. Now RankIQ is taking it all up a notch, and I will explain it in just a moment, but I first need to tell you what you will see once you have chosen your keyword and run the report:

1. The recommended word count (optimal content length for ranking for the keyword).

2. A symbol that needs to be achieved.

3. Semantic topics, meaning specific phrases and subtopics to include in your post. This is very good as it will help you align with Google’s algorithm expectations.

4. Various words that function as possible title suggestions. Amazing feature as it helps you to write the best title possible.

5. Websites currently ranking for that keyword with titles, domain authority, page authority, and so much more.

My New Way Of Writing The Perfect Post

• Choose a keyword in the keyword library
• Generate the report
• Choose the theme/variation keywords
• Go to YouTube and find related videos about the topic.
• Use ChatGPT to create an outline with the content I have found.
• Flesh out the outline with my experience.
• Grab the keywords RankIQ suggests need to be in the post.
• Copy my content to ChatGPT and ask it to add all the keywords to the post.
• Copy the content to RankIQ Content Optimizer.
• Look at the Grade and words. If not 100% green. Continue adding content and more keywords that were missed.
• When all is green. I copy the text and take it to Grammarly to fix any grammar issues. Note: I use the free version.
• Lastly I take the post to my WordPress post, but prior to posting, I make sure that all is green in Rank Math too.

Rank Math is like Yoast SEO. They help you to add your SEO titles, descriptions, URLs, and images, making sure it is optimized for SEO on another level.

Do Not Want To Write Your Own Blog Posts?

I know there are lots of bloggers out there who do not want to write their blog posts, and they outsource it to a virtual assistant. That too is not a problem, because the keywords you have chosen and the reports can be downloaded and given to your VA. Or, you can give them access to your account.

• Rank: Your average ranking in the last 28 days

This information is great, because, knowing which posts are performing very well, means you can create more content around the keywords on that topic.

The Organic Traffic Summary

This report provides an overview of your website’s organic search performance. It shows the total organic traffic you received, how it changed over time, and how it compares to your previous performance. This is a great report as it will help you to identify traffic trends, and even see any changes that need investigation.

Pages Experiencing Traffic Growth

This is an amazing report as it highlights your blog posts with the largest traffic increases. With this knowledge, you can quickly go to the blog post and identify what is in the blog post that your other posts do not have, and then modify them to the same format.

Pages Experiencing Traffic Contraction

This tool shows you which pages have posts that are gradually declining in the rankings. Knowing that you can take proactive steps to improve them and update the content accordingly.

Cons About RankIQ

A review is not a review if you are oblivious to it’s downside:

• There is a cost to the tool. (But awesome tools cost money)
• Advanced users might not want to use the tool as they are looking for one tool that will do everything. The sad thing about it, there are no other tools currently doing what RankIQ does.
• It does not have an artificial intelligence content writer. It would be great to have at least one to create the outline.
• It does not fix your spelling mistakes, but who cares? We have Grammarly as an extension.

Real-Life Results

My blog is very, very new with only 5 posts (4 December 2024). My domain authority is 1, which is the starting point. I do not have any backlinks at all. I will be updating this post in a year’s time to see the actual true results, but I can share with you some of my results since I started with RankIQ.

If you look at the screenshot here of Ubersuggest. You will see some of the keywords I asked Ubersuggest to track. Next to the keyword, it shows a heading change. If you look at that you will see a green arrow showing my keywords drop from 100 in a very fast way. None of them show an increase. This is a good signal.
