STRANGE LOGO…I KNOW!
When I started my blog, the domain name was the most difficult thing to do. All the names I wanted, was either taken, or just ridiculously expensive. But, things happen for a reason and I found womanwhatever.com
So, let me explain:
- Wo + Balancing Life (purple) reflects the struggles women have on a daily basis.
- Whatever + men: Refers to women not 100% understanding men, so we always end up say “whatever”.
- The words Balancing Life + Together refers to men and women trying to balanc life as one unity.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been the queen of wheeling and dealing-though, not always for cash. As a kid, we didn’t trade stocks, we bartered. My friends and I swapped scented erasers like they were gold, and that eventually evolved into exchanging fancy writing paper. Oops, I just revealed my age! LOL.
Seriously, whatever happened to that craze? I would’ve loved to see my “adult” kids go through that phase, but nope. These days it’s all about tech gadgets and screen time.
After finishing school and getting married at the ripe young age of 20, I plunged headfirst into the corporate world. For 13 years, I clocked in and out of the 9-to-5 grind, until my son was born, and I was like, “Nope, I want to be there for him!
So, I quit and officially became the CEO of… my house.
As a first-time mom, I had to learn the ins and outs of running a household-and let me tell you, that’s some serious entrepreneurial training!
When my daughter was born, we decided to homeschool our kids, which was another major learning curve. Not only was I managing the home with two little ones, but I also had to figure out how to bring in some extra income. We were so used to those sweet dual paychecks every month! Then, in a twist that can only be described as “plot-thickening,” my husband decided to quit his job too. Yep, we went full-on crazy entrepreneur mode.
Over the years, we dabbled in everything! We owned a take-away shop in a gaming arena, a party shop, a spice shop, a bead shop, and even a beauty shop. Eventually, my husband went back to work, but I stayed on the ambition train. I taught myself cake decorating, and before I knew it, I was baking up a storm of themed cakes, which led to a cake decorating studio where I taught others how to make edible masterpieces.
But you know me-I got bored. So, I hopped onto the technology train and found my first online mentor through a competition. Three months later, I won! That’s when my digital marketing career took off, which later snowballed into a web agency. Fast forward to today, I’m a success coach for a software company and a full-time blogger with multiple streams of income.
Here’s what I’ve learned along the way: Success doesn’t come with a magic button-it comes with hard work. And failure? It’s just a pit stop on the road to success. Now, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth (more like a plastic one from a takeaway), I don’t have fancy degrees or celebrity connections, but I do have ambition, drive, and most importantly: Jesus Christ
My income isn’t dictated by a company or a boss, and it’s definitely not tied to my abilities. It’s all Him and His grace. My mission now is to share what I’ve learned with anyone who’s interested-whether it’s about Jesus, starting an online business, or balancing life at home.
So, if you’re feeling that “something’s missing” vibe and you’re not sure what it is, let’s chat! Drop a comment and let’s connect. I once saw a slogan that said, “Everything is figureoutable,” and it couldn’t be more true. Nothing is impossible-except maybe trying to get my kids interested in scented erasers again! Ahh, that is another idea!
What’s stopping you? Spoiler alert: It’s YOU.
